This is a picture of a student receiving ashes on ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday is a major day for the catholic faith. It is when the person receives ashes of palms used from palm Sunday and they are smeared on the head of the people receiving the ashes. This is relevant because I am using the Newman center as one of my places on campus to describe. I found it on Kentucky digital library. Its citation is:

University of Kentucky. A Priest Putting Ashes on Unidentified Students' Foreheads on Ash Wednesday                  in the Newman Center. 1969. Kentucky Digital Library, Lexington.
